MANHATTAN -- The honors program in Kansas State University's College of Education has accepted 30 new members.

Students are invited to apply to the honors program if they received a score of 28 or higher on the ACT or have a 3.5 GPA or higher in 12 hours of graded work at K-State. Students must maintain at least a 3.5 GPA to remain in the program. A faculty-advised research project and two topical seminar courses are required for completion of the program.

The goal of the honors program, consistent with the mission of the College of Education, is to "prepare educators to be knowledgeable, ethical, caring decision makers," said Jan Wissman, director of the honors program and associate dean of the…
