The poetic talent of pupils in the city and visitors to Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery has been recognised in a new haiku poetry book.

The three-line traditional Japanese poems have been praised by experts and the book is expected to be launched at this year's Bristol Poetry Festival.

Paul Conneally, the education and regional director of the World Haiku Club, said: "The international haiku community has been knocked out by the quality of the work and the publishing of the poems by children …
