Fancy being preserved for posterity? In what will be the ultimate TV makeover programme, production company Mentorn want to remodel a real person's body... and it could be yours. They are about to launch a search for a donor who is willing to be filmed, preserved, dissected and turned into an exhibit - after they are dead, of course.
The modifications will be carried out by Professor Gunter Von Hagens of the Institute For Plastination, whose controversial Body Worlds exhibition recently hit the UK. The entire project, from the search for a living donor, through their death, dissection and the unveiling of their plastinated body, will be shown by C4.
The international search will try to find a willing participant who is terminally ill and likely to die within the next few months. Within nine months of being located, their body will have been transformed into a redesigned human form which will then be publicly exhibited.
The donor must consent to being plastinated and resculpted, as in the Body Worlds exhibit pictured. Interested donors can call the hotline on 020 7258 6822 or email: donor appeal@mentorn.co.uk
