CHANDIGARH: Rs 100 per quintal bonus on paddy, roll-back of the post-Budget hike in fertiliser prices and waiving of farmers' loans are the key objectives listed in the Punjab Assembly resolution adopted at its one-day special session on Friday.

Wits were evenly matched during the session with food minister Lal Singh, industries minister Avtar Henry, Bir Devinder Singh and Sunil Jakhar leading the charge from the Treasury benches. Opposition leader Parkash Singh Badal, former finance minister Kanwaljit Singh and Manpreet Badal were quick with counter arguments.
