Lance Fleming, the former Los Lunas police officer convicted of raping a child, is serving an 18-year prison sentence handed down earlier this month.

Fleming was sentenced last week in 13th Judicial District Court by Judge Camille Martinez-Olguin.

Fleming was convicted in December of two counts of criminal sexual penetration of a child under 13, intimidating a witness and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
