Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, Oct 8 (EFE).- Puerto Rican Gov. Sila Calderon on Tuesday threatened to fire police officers who participate in a work slowdown on Oct. 31, Halloween.

"From colonels on down, there is no room for a work slowdown in the Puerto Rican police force," said Calderon, referring to a letter in which an officer exhorted his colleagues to participate in a work slowdown on that day.

In the letter, police officers were urged to go to work but not to do anything on Halloween.
