IF it was true that the khatib leading last week's Friday prayers at the Perak State Mosque in Ipoh delivered a sermon filled with untruths and malice, woe betide the Malay Muslim community.
What the episode spells out is that the house of God was desecrated; a man entrusted to lead a congregation to express servitude to God lied, and there is no place spared of such lies including the house of God.
