DINA WAKILNICOSIA, Cyprus: Here, in this charmingly laidback Mediterranean town, which also happens to be the only divided capital in the world, Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Tuesday cemented ties between India and Cyprus by signing agreements in areas like health, telecommunications and information technology.
Vajpayee also used his visit to the island - the first by an Indian PM since 1983 - to address the 2,000-strong Indian community here, delivering a stirring speech on Monday evening. The speech was laced with his trademark jocular banter and strong words against Pakistan.
