Moscow, 4 October: The foreign ministers of Russia and Chile have agreed to implement the agreements reached by the two presidents within a short period. Igor Ivanov and Soledad Alvear Valenzuela "stressed the need for mounting bilateral trade and economic cooperation and searching for new forms of interaction". The ministers also discussed "the future establishment of the Russian-Chilean intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation", the information and press department of the Russian Foreign Ministry reports.
