Trade: Vietnam to Join Rice Cooperation Meeting in Thailand Next Week.

Vietnamese Trade Minister Truong Dinh Tuyen will attend the Rice Cooperation Meeting to be held in Thailand on October 9 between the five leading rice exporters of Thailand, Vietnam, China, India and Pakistan to discuss measures to stabilize local and export prices, according to the Trade Ministry.

This is the second time that Thailand has hosted a meeting to strengthen cooperation among the major rice exporters. The first was held early last year, but only Vietnam and Thailand reached an agreement on rice exports.
