Internet and electronic newspapers have developed in Vietnam faster than anyone imagined

The history of the Internet in Vietnam can be traced back to the Government Decision No. 21/CP dated March 5, 1997 in which the Government outlined the management and use of the Internet in Vietnam.

Five years after its debut, the Internet in Vietnam has brought positive outcomes in the socio-economic life. Through the Net, information on Vietnam has reached international communities in the shortest time where traditional media cannot be compared.

According to delegates at a recent Hanoi-based conference on the Internet and electronic newspapers in Vietnam, the authorization of the corporate community to take part in providing Internet services has created a healthy competition environment. …
