MELBOURNE, Oct 1 Asia Pulse - Shares in logistics group Toll Holdings Ltd (ASX:TOL) fell again as the company failed to respond to a newspaper report it might buy Brambles Industries' shipping business.
A spokeswoman for Toll managing director Paul Little said Mr Little and chief financial officer Neil Chatfield were both on leave and no one was available to respond to the report.
Shares in Toll have fallen since September 18 when they were at $A31.75 ($US17.18).
The Sydney Morning Herald today said Toll was expected to emerge within weeks as the buyer of Brambles Industries Ltd's shipping business.
It said Toll was expected to announce the acquisition of the business, which operated in the Bass Strait, for between $A80 million ($US43.3 million) and $A90 million ($US48.71 million).
