ADELAIDE, Oct 1 Asia Pulse - The South Australian government should provide electricity concessions for self-funded retirees, the state opposition said today.

The government must also expand electricity concessions for pensioners, SA Liberal deputy leader Dean Brown said.

Yesterday, the state's monopoly electricity retailer AGL announced residential electricity prices would rise by an average of 25 per cent, or $A212 ($US114.59) per year, at the start of next year.
