Trading in shekel/dollar options reflects expectations of 0.1% rise in the shekel/dollar exchange rate to NIS 4.5852/$, compared with a representative rate of NIS 4.847/$ set on Friday.

Traders at foreign exchange trading house Gift said this morning that without developments inspiring greater optimism, demand for the dollar is on the rise. Gift estimates that a technical correction to NIS 4.75/$ is possible, but the trend for the shekel/dollar rate is upwards, despite the high interest rate on the shekel.
