Ghana's Football Association (GFA) has appointed Emmanuel Kwesi Afranie as the caretaker coach of the Black Stars.

Afranie will be assisted by Malik Jabir and Isaac Paha, both former national team players.

Afranie, takes over from Yugoslav-born Milan Zivadinovic who quit early this week citing unfavourable weather conditions.

Afranie's first assignment will be the Nations Cup match against Rwanda, Oct. 13 in Accra. Ghana have also lined up a friendly match on Oct. 8-9 with Kenya's Harambee Stars who will stop over on their way to Cape Verde for a Nations …
