September 23 to 29 has been declared World Retina Week to celebrate sight and raise awareness of progressive retinal diseases.

Retina South Africa, a non-profit organisation, is committed to finding the cause of and treatment for inherited degenerative diseases such as Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP), macular degeneration and the usher syndrome.
