AN INQUIRER columnist and author, a legal group, a freedom-fighting priest, and a civil society leader from business have been chosen for this year's Chino Roces Freedom Award.

They are Amando Doronila, chosen for the "high professional integrity and keen sense of perspective he brings to the discussion of public issues; the Free Legal Assistance Group (Flag) "for championing the legal cause of the poor and the oppressed." Fr. Romeo Intengan, "for a life dedicated to the fight for freedom, human rights and social justice," and Guillermo Luz, "for enlisting the business community in the cause of socio-political reform." …
