MIRI, Sept 25 (Bernama) -- Bintulu MP Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing today filed a RM26 million defamation suit by Sarawak National Party (Snap) secretary-genneral Datuk Justine Jinggut.

Tiong, in the suit filed at the High Court Registry here, claimed that Jinggut had spoken falsely and maliciously about him to a few hundred Snap members at Bau, about 40 km from Kuching, on July 26.

Tiong said the alleged defamatory words appeared in four local Chinese dailies -- See Hua Daily News, Chinese Daily News, International Times and Miri Daily News -- on July 29.
