Johannesburg Park Station has been transformed from a colonial railway station to the gateway of African trade, Marthinus van Schalkwyk, leader of the New National Party (NNP), said on Monday. "The redeveloped Park Station is, for all intents and purposes, the port of Johannesburg. It represents both the rich history and heritage of our country and a significant hope for revitalising our inner cities," he said during a visit to the station ahead of National Heritage Day on Tuesday.
