GE Mortgage Insurance has launched an online interactive tool for providing mortgage servicers with bidding instructions on foreclosure sales.
With GE's "e-Bid" technology, instructions on minimum bids for foreclosure sales are available instantly. Users type in the mortgage insurance certificate number, verify the property name and address, and enter its current value, anticipated foreclosure date and total debt to receive bid information online. The system provides users with a printable bid and replaces all previously used GE bid charges, which are now obsolete.
"We see e-Bid as another step toward increased servicer productivity and profitability," said Richard Nastasi, senior vice president and e-business leader for GE Mortgage Insurance. "GE is using digitization to change the game in mortgage insurance, and our customers have been quick to see the advantages our servicing platform has over conventional methods."
