Loan Servicing Network, a company that specializes in outsourcing for the mortgage industry, has developed a Web-based system allowing companies to process releases and assignments.
The development effort spanned two years and culminated in the formation of a new software company, MorgaTech, to focus specifically on mortgage software, the company said.
The Release and Assignment Processing System is the first complete module in a suite currently under development. Additional products can be expected in the near future, the company said. Those products will focus on simplification of mortgage industry systems.
Kendall Bond, CEO of MorgaTech, has joined forces with Mark Dunstan, the former director of programming for SmartPros, and his development team to form the new company.
"Much of what goes into a project is in the planning stage, and when I have an idea for an upgrade to the system, Mark takes it a step further, making it that much better," Mr. Bond said. "We feel confident that our system has many 'bells and whistles' that are a first for this industry. At the end of the day, what matters to the customer is 'can they make more money and increase quality control with less resources.' Our product does exactly that," he said.
