Newtown .............1 Connah's QN ...........2
TOMMY MUTTON fired a brace as Nomads claimed their second League of Wales win of the campaign despite playing most of the second half with 10 men.
Two goals to the good by the interval, the Deesiders had Andy Griffiths dismissed by referee Phil Southall four minutes after the restart following a challenge on Justin Bridges.
But Newtown were unable to capitalise on their one-man advantage despite a 90th-minute reply from Mark Williams.
The Robins had struggled to make inroads for much of the encounter, with the Nomads opening up a twogoal cushion midway through the first half.
