(From Daily Post (Liverpool))

WREXHAM defender Shaun Pejic, who won his first Wales under-21 cap in Finland last Friday, took the 2-1 defeat on the chin and said it had made him more determined to gain further international recognition.
The 20-year old son of Racecourse physiotherapist Mel and nephew of former England and Stoke City full back, Mike, was one of six youngsters given a Wales debut by coach Jimmy Shoulder in Valkaeokoski and it was desperately cruel luck that they conceded a last-minute winner after having dominated the match for long spells.
The defeat was the 25th game without a win for Wales' second string and Pejic said everyone had been sickened by the late strike from Liverpool's highly-rated Danny Sjorlund.
``It's been like that for years with Wales but we'lltake a lot of confidence from our performance and feel we've got a great chance of beating them when they come over to play us in the return,'' he claimed.
``It's a very new squad so I felt we did well considering how many of us were making our debuts. We know what to expect in future and we can build on the performance. It's been a great experience and it's very different from club football because you have to be a lot more switched-on and everything is played at a quicker pace but I enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to winning a few more caps.''
