Hallmark will make it a little easier for shoppers seeking to pick up a card and a box of chocolates during the gift-giving season this winter. The Kansas City-based greeting card company has partnered with Alpine Confections, Salt Lake City, Utah, for the December rollout of the Hallmark Chocolatier line of boxed arid specialty chocolates.

Initially, the line will be sold seasonally--for Christmas, Valentine's Day and spring (Easter and Mother's Day). "But long-term, we'll be providing everyday solutions," says Terry Mitchell, senior vice president of Alpine Confections.
