Bishkek, 9 August: Kyrgyz President Askar Akayev on 8 August signed a decree aimed at improving work with personnel at state bodies by using the advantages of new information technology. The Kyrgyz decree "On measures to inform the population through the Internet about contests for vacancies in the civil service of the Kyrgyz Republic" is primarily aimed at ensuring transparency and making information about contests for vacancies in the country's civil service accessible to citizens.
