: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has offered to network all 220 sub-registrar offices in the state free of cost, as the state gets ready to launch its first public-private e-governance initiative.

ISRO's offer comes as the state government prepares to call tenders shortly from private firms for computerisation of registration in all sub-registries on build-operate-transfer (BOT) basis. This is also the first e-governance initiative with zero government investment. Rather, it hopes to mobilise at least Rs 15 crore in additional revenue through the process.
