Parents Can Voice Concerns at Meeting

East Mountains students attending Albuquerque Public Schools could start school earlier or later next school year depending on whether they are in elementary, middle or high school.

Citing national sleep research that shows teen-agers learn better when they start school later in the day, APS Superintendent Brad Allison has proposed switching early high school start times with later elementary school start times.

The 12 schools in the Manzano High School cluster are among those considering the change.
