SYDNEY, July 18 AAP - Superannuation fund members should view the current market downturn in perspective and not panic, a peak superannuation body said today. The Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia Ltd (ASFA) said negative investment returns currently being experienced reflected the cyclical nature of investing. ASFA chief executive officer Philippa Smith said many super fund members were experiencing their first taste of a low or negative return since the introduction of award superannuation.
