June 24 was a day Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat knew had to come sooner or later.

After over 70 terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and military personnel since the beginning of 2000, US President George W. Bush confirmed something many knew already: Arafat has served only as an obstacle to Middle East stability, and a change in leadership is necessary to push forward a new peace process.
