KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 3 (Bernama) -- "Sulh" or arbitration has been identified as one of the methods that can reduce the backlog of cases in the Syariah Courts, said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Abdul Hamid Zainal Abidin.

He said the sulh had succeeded in resolving many cases concerning Muslim families without having to bring them to the Syariah Court.

"Sulh is a method of voluntary settlement between two disputing parties made outside the court," he said at a media conference after opening the Seminar On The Need For A Manual on Muslim Family Law at the Malaysian Islamic …
