LUCKNOW: The arrival of Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav here to preside over his party legislators' meeting soon before the budget session of the state assembly, slated to begin from Thursday, is viewed with curiosity.

While it is indicative of his aggressive posture, it seems to be a renewed effort on his part to rope in the Congress and other parties to put up a united front against the three-month-old Mayawati-led BSP-BJP coalition government in the state. Within political circles it is also being viewed that the SP has not yet given up hope of forming a government.
