Rabat, Morocco (PANA) - King Mohammed VI of Morocco and US Secretary of State Colin Powell, had telephone discussions Thursday on how to resolve Morocco's dispute with Spain over ownership of the Leila Island, State television, TVM reported in Rabat Friday.

Both men "exchanged views on how to contain the Moroccan-Spanish crisis resulting from the invasion of the Moroccan islet Taoura, known as Leila, by Spanish forces," TVM said, adding that the telephone conversation was "at the request of the American top official."
