Taipei, Aug. 29, 2002 (CENS)-- The weighted average interest rate for 182-day negotiable certificates of deposits (NCDs) auctioned off by the Central Bank of China (CBC) yesterday rose to a three-month high of 2.052% per annum, according to market sources
The CBC yesterday floated NT$5.95 billion worth of 182-day NCDs for sales to banks on a bidding basis, and the weighted rate for such NCDs rose two basis points from the previous issuance to a three-month high of 2.052%
The central bank also auctioned off NT$10.65 billion in 91-day NCDs, and the weighted average rate for such NCDs edged down 0.4 of a basis point to 2.002% per annum
