A woman who cut off her lover's manhood in a "vicious" attack when he tried to end their rela tionship was yesterday jailed for 4.5 years.

Poon Shuk-yee, 27, was sentenced after a unanimous jury found her guilty of one charge of wounding Chan Chi-keung, 35, with intent.

"Common sense tells us that the harm the accused has done to the victim is more than physical," Deputy Judge Derek Pang Wai-cheong told the Court of First Instance.

He noted that Poon had shown no remorse for the injury, which was inflicted with a paper-cutter she took to Mr Chan's flat.
