Kathryn E. (Kay) Burnett was recently named the first recipient of the Music OCLC Users Group (MOUG) Distinguished Service Award. This award has been established to recognize and honor a librarian who has made significant professional contributions to music users of OCLC. The MOUG Executive Board selects a recipient based on nominations received from the MOUG membership.
Those who presented Kay's name for nomination best stated the reasons why she is an ideal choice as the first recipient for this award: "Her work, represented by the OCLC three-letter symbol SNN, has set a high standard in music cataloging for completeness and timeliness.
