For so long in Australia, and especially now at a time of unprecedented resources industry rationalisation, grassroots exploration has been the domain of junior explorers. They have often been the pathfinders to shoring up the country's pipeline of future mining developments.

And currently around Leonora in Western Australia's Eastern Goldfields region there is somewhat of an exploration revival taking place on the back of an exciting base metals sulphide discovery made by Aussie junior Pilbara Mines [ASX:PIL] and its Canadian partner Inmet Mining Corp [TSE:IMN].
