The World Health Organization (WHO), in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, will conduct a two-day consultative workshop for government sectoral ministries, health related international/national non-governmental organizations (NGOs), health related UN agencies and donor organizations operating in Liberia today at the Archdiocesan Pastoral Retreat Center on Randall Street.
The workshop, the third since 1998, is being held under the theme "Actualizing Our Commitment to Health Development," and will reflect on the realization of the commitments made by health partners to the development of health.
It is designed to provide a forum for the review of collaborative health activities and planning for sustained development of the health sector in Liberia.
A WHO release said deliberations will focus on achievements, constraints and challenges of the cost sharing scheme, current status and future prospects of incentives for health workers, as well as the development and management of human resources for health in Liberia.
