The Ongwediva Town Council has obtained a court order to evict two Namibian businessmen who have accused the local authority of stifling plans for investment.
The High Court in Windhoek on Tuesday issued an interim order stating that Moses Nashongo and Benjamin Hauwanga should vacate a piece of land, whose ownership the Council and the two men dispute.
The eviction order will be carried out after September 2 if Hauwanga and Nashongo fail to come up with convincing counter arguments.
The two businessmen have been ordered not to fence or build property on the land. The land is already fenced, according to Hauwanga.
