On Heroes Day in June, President Yoweri Museveni decorated some original NRM personalities for their contribution in the 1981-86 liberation war.
Since this year's Heroes Day theme was "Honouring whose who sacrificed for an independent and better Uganda", I think there are people who, without holding guns or being politicians, fought hard for this country.
I am requesting the government to recognise Rev. Polycarp Kakooza as a hero. Kakooza should be remembered and rewarded for his great contribution and devotion to the country.
*He founded the Uganda Football Referees Association in 1950.
*In 1968 he started the national football league.
