The Upper Denkyira District Chief Executive (DCE) in the Central Region, Mr. Anane Adabor, has described allegations levelled against him for politicising the forth-coming District Assembly elections as baseless and unfounded, saying that it is a plan to bring his image into disrepute.
Mr. Adabor was alleged to have assembled all the NPP party faithful and citizens in the Ayanfuri electoral area in the Upper Denkyira District on Sunday July 14, this year at 4.30pm, in the premises of Methodist Primary School in the Central Region.
In addition, Mr. Anane was alleged to have asked an aspiring candidate, Mr. Fred Addision, to step down, and for the NPP Zonal Chairman, Mr. Asamoah, to contest.
It was alleged that Mr. Adabor urged the party faithful to rather vote for Mr. Asamoah, instead of the other candidates since they are not on the ticket of the NPP.
Again, he was alleged to have said that even if Addison wins the election, he, the DCE, would make him "a white elephant" in the area.
