Trouble brews in his backyard
The newly-appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP), Nana S. Owusu Nsiah, may have an ardous task to solve, as trouble is gradually brewing at his own backyard, Berekum Traditional Council (BTC) where he is a member of the Council.
Currently, the BTC has been split into two factions with the Krontihene, Nana Ofori Appiah II, who is acting as the president of the council as the leader of one faction and with majority of the chiefs belonging to the queenmother.
On hours of 11:00 clock GMT, on Monday July 29, the Krontihene, the ETC Senior Registrar, Mr. Charles Opoku Fefefere, entered the offices of the Ghanaian Chronicle at Sunyani with three sets of documents headlined 'taken over of keys of the traditional council offices', 'situation report - seizure of keys of the traditional council offices', and the third reading 'forgery of official letterhead'
All letters were addressed to the Brong Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs.
