The ordeal begins.
Exactly 4,761 law students will take the first of their four-part bar examinations across four Sundays at De La Salle University today.
This year's examinees represent a 30 percent increase from last year's 3,849. In the 2001 bar exams, 1,266 candidates or 39 percent passed the test. The record held by the 1981 bar examinees of 43 percent passing rate is still unsurpassed.
