VIRTUAL ACCELERATORS: Atomic science holds great promise for producing a safe and virtually inexhaustible supply of energy. But a major barrier to achieving this goal has been the high price of the accelerator systems that are necessary to study the structure and behavior of atomic particles capable of producing such power.
