SARASOTA -- Tiger Telematics has backed off from plans to move to Southwest Florida from Fort Lauderdale and to launch the Port-It car computing solution developed in Sarasota by Intelliworxx Inc.

In June, Tiger bought control of Intelliworxx's main operating subsidiary Comworxx for 4.3 million shares of Tiger's over-the-counter shares and the assumption of liabilities.

Tiger promised to pour $500,000 in fresh cash into the local operation and to consolidate its business in Sarasota.
