SANSUI ELEC POSTS US$1.3 MLN NET LOSS ON WEAK AUDIO EQUIP SALES.
TOKYO, Sept 2 Asia Pulse - Hit by declining sales of its mainstay audio equipment, Sansui Electric Co. (TSE:6793) announced Friday a parent-only net loss of 155 million yen (US$1.3 million) in the fiscal half ended June 30, compared with a 761 million yen profit the previous year.
Contributing to the poor showing by the midsize maker of audio equipment was a foreign exchange loss of 6.16 million yen and an extraordinary loss of 4.75 million yen on the disposal of fixed assets.
