TOKYO, Sept 2 Asia Pulse - Enix Corp. (TSE:9684) announced Friday that it expects group net profit to fall 23 per cent to 3.3 billion yen (US$27.8 million) for the current year through March 2003, reversing its earlier forecast of a 12 per cent rise.
The major developer of home-use games ascribed the grim projection to the postponement until next fiscal year of new software sales due to development delays. The company had planned to begin marketing the software in the current year, aiming at sales of about 500,000 copies.
Sales are expected to decrease 7 per cent to 23 billion yen. The company will pay an annual dividend of 25 yen as originally scheduled, down 5 yen from the previous year's level.
