TOKYO, Sep 2 Asia Pulse - Skymark Airlines Co. (TSE:9204) asked the Fair Trade Commission (FTC) on Friday to begin an investigation into the fare reductions made by major airlines to see if the cuts violate Japan's Antimonopoly Act.

Skymark believes the cuts were made to eliminate new players in the industry.
