SEOUL, Sept 2 Asia Pulse - The government Monday decided to release stockpiles of agricultural, fisheries and livestock products held by government agencies to help subdue rising commodity prices just weeks before the Sept. 21 Chuseok holiday.
Price rises have been fueled by floods which swept over the country during the past weekend.
The decision was made at a meeting of economy-related ministers presided over by Deputy Prime Minister Jeon Yun-churl to come up with ways to stabilize prices ahead of Chuseok.
