48 teams of teachers and school administrators are winners of the Emerging Technology Awards for Educators program from AT&T Broadband, the company said today. The competition, one of AT&T Broadband's national education initiatives, encourages teachers to work in teams to develop innovative classroom projects using cable television programming and the Internet.
Each winning team is comprised of three educators and one administrator, and will receive cash grants and a digital video camera to implement their proposed classroom project. First place teams will receive a $3,000 grant; second place teams will receive a $2,000 grant; and third place teams will receive a $1,000 grant. (See end of release for the list of winners).
