South Central Division.(Brief Article)
May and June were convention months for three of the four states in our division. Arkansas held its convention, May 31-June 1, on the campus of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Jason Issokson, the MTNA Arkansas high school string winner, and guest artist Joan Gilbert, a pianist from the University of Memphis, gave recitals. Ed Gates, NCTM, from the University of Oklahoma was the featured clinician.
Oklahoma's convention also took place May 31-June 1 at the University of Oklahoma's (OU) Norman campus.
